EDUCATION IN NIGERIA
What is Education? Education is the acquisition of knowledge, skills, values, beliefs and habits. So the question I ask myself is why do I go to School? To my parents, going to school is getting a job at the end of the day, maybe become a doctor, lawyer, accountants etc. but I won’t lie to you it is quite bigger than that. In my own dictionary (THE RECENT TRUTH DICTIONARY) “Education is getting better”, “Better use of the brain” that is the right perspective for Education because you get better in everything since you are educated and am talking about higher Education (i.e Higher Institutions), it’s not just for you because the country will also get better. A certificate does not mean an employment opportunity; it is how better you have been able to use your brain. Education will always make your better in everything you find to do, even if it is the chairman of NURTW, look at FALZ; in just a year he made it big in Music industry, Femi Adebayo and others.
